Roger Clemens & The Mitchell Report

"Then one cold December day,
George Mitchell came to say,
Roger now the gig is up,
I need your pee right in this cup..."

So the Mitchell report has hit both players and fans of professional baseball quite hard the past week. Most of all, the fabled Roger Clemens is being hit full force. In my opinion, good riddance. If your a professional athlete getting paid to work out everyday and play a sport for the sheer entertainment of fans, at least do it the legitimate way. If your a player that cannot handle being in the majors and you need drugs to keep you on top, perhaps you do not deserve to be their to begin with.
Now I am not saying that steroids have not always been prevalent, but, who is to say the leagues (yes leagues, be real here its not just pro Baseball that is having these issues) cannot clean up their acts! Enforce the rules, and prevent those players from using illegal enhancement drugs. It is just no good to think about all the records set many years ago being shattered by such unprofessional means. Say bye bye to Bonds, Clemens, Gagne, Giambi and 76 more players who used the performance enhancers. Time to make an example out of them.

Tribute to Lou Gehrig: Luckiest Man

Do you ever wish,
that you could start over...
that you could take back what you said...
that you could pretend like it never happened...
that you could make the bad things better...
that you could take away all the pain...

Do you ever wish,
that you could be the one to help...
that you could do more...
that you could try harder...
that you could make a difference...
that you could say your last goodbyes again...

Do you ever wish,
that you could fix those things that could not be fixed...
that you may have known, if only you tried...
that you did not end off that way...
that you did not cause such painful emotions...
that you could have changed your life...

Not I, he told me to live for today.

#4 Bobby Orr

Here I am once again, inside the penalty box blogging away. I recently watched the video attached to this post on YouTube and it made me think. Bobby Orr was the best hockey player to ever step blade on the ice in the professional leagues. He played for a salary that most pro's today would shrug off as chump change. Yet, there has not been a player comparable to Bobby Orr since Bobby Orr himself. Sure Crosby and Gretzky were good...possibly the fabled "great" but in my opinion nothing compares to the greatest. This man played with heart, and with a burning desire to win. Players today just do not have it. The Intensity Orr had was to great for his opponents to handle, however he brought his own team nearly up to his level, creating possibly the best NHL team to ever exist. Orr played for the spirit of the game, and the honor to skate for the Boston Bruins. Raise a Beer, Wine, Juice, Milk, or whatever it is your drinking tonight to #4...Bobby Orr.

I Was Wrong.

Yes, Its true, I was wrong. Creating this website which has great potential (in my mind) took many hours of work. That work I figured would be well worth it when it came to adsense. Now for those of you who do not know... AdSense is a Google run program which places ads on your website. When these ads get clicked, you, the publisher, make a small (now I mean a couple cents to twenty five cents) per click. I told my family, and friends about my new website...and also about my new lunch money making program Adsense . I was excited, my ad clicking skyrocketed! However, my account plummeted.
I received an email that way to many Adsense users get in their mailbox when ads are clicked inappropriately. This email stated that my account has been disabled due to fraudulent clicks on the outside. BOO.
I was pissed, although not the yelling swearing sort of pissed, more like the "dammit why did I tell all those family members and friends to click my ads to get me thrown out of Adsense the only possible way for my website to pay for itself and make me a multi-millionaire which will get to the top burning NESN along the way and sending New England Sports into something truly extraordinary someday kinda pissed.
Now, think about it...no AdSense money equals no income from the website. No income from the website means no profit. No profit means that every month when I reach into my deep (not deep cause they have so much money in them so they have to be deep, but deep because they are so dark and empty) pockets I have to chalk up the cash to pay for something that I put hours or work into, and money into, for nothing except my own sense of accomplishment? What the heck is that!!! Nobody feel THAT great from your sense of accomplishment! I mean c'mon, when that great wall of China was built, they weren't all like "Yay, look at our wall, we are so amazing!" Instead it was more like "Yay, look at our wall you filthy Mongols! Now you can't come rape and pillage our towns and villages!"
So in short. I was guilty. I told people to come to my site, and click on ads. I appealed the case to Google, and hopefully those lovable men and women over there reading my appeal will take pity upon my soul, and get the ads back up and running again.

GUARANTEE!!! GUARANTEE!!!

GUARANTEE, GUARANTEE!!! These were the words echoing throughout Gillette stadium tonight as the Steeler’s Anthony Smith held his head in his hands on the sidelines probably regretting this phrase that will echo in the hearts of many merry Patriots fans for some time..
Well Mr. Smith, I’m about to guarantee you that the city of Boston will be watching three consecutive pro title parades this year, and this isn't an empty threat such as yours! With the Celtics beating the Bulls, the Bruins thrashing Toronto, and the Patriots surpassing the Steelers, this weekend was a spectacle to be seen by all New England Sports Fans.
Along with these New England sports events, was the boxing match between Maywheather and Hatton. These two undefeated fighters met up Saturday night for a battle that had the hearts of many patriots such as myself ready to burst. Tyrese (yea that’s correct...Tyrese...) sang the American national anthem to the beat of...well thousands of drunk Englishmen’s boos. That’s right folks, they came into our country, to fight our undfeated boxer (who mind you kept perfectly silent during the rendition of “God Save the Queen”), and booed our national anthem! Bah! The fight looked grim and Maywheather was taking a a beating up tight against his body. The scrappy fighter Hatton was hitting fast with little punches. It appeared Maywheather had met his match until those watching closely noticed that every time Hatton was at a distance of about 2 feet he was getting rocked from single punches of Floyd’s arsenal. It wasn’t until the tenth round that the Hatton’s fans in their “Hatton Wonderland” (which is what they call Hatton’s dominance in the ring) watched their man truly enter his own little knocked out wonderland.
So to all you Englishmen out there with the gall to come here and boo our national anthem, I hope you truly enjoyed your plane ride home...hatin’ Hatton.

I Eat Hockey Pucks...For Real

As sad as it may seem...it is true...The Boston Bruins collapsed the past two nights leading me into a deep depression in which I have began to consume solid rubber hockey pucks...as shown here.

What is it about them that has caused them to lose so badly the past few nights? Is it Chara’s much to large paycheck for such a mediocre hockey player? Or the Fact our teams most prized possession Bergeron is still concussed? Or was it Timmy T’s “lower extremity injury” which for some reason the press has yet to release to us. Whatever it may be, they need to turn it around, and fast. With a great start to a season, they are slowly fading off the radar. The Bruins must win so the B’s fans that are all in hibernation after the deplorable seasons of the past ten years will come out of their caves and unite under the black and gold B again! You hear talk about how the Sox and Pats fans out number the bruins fan 100-1, but that’s only true because the Sox and Pats are winning teams. Nobody (except the hardcore fans) like to root for a losing team. As matter of fact, the past 3 Bruins games I’ve gone to, there were just as many opposing team fans as Bruins fans IN OUR GARDEN! Psh, this needs to change. Start winning, fans start growing, team makes money, money gets better players (sadly), and Boston will again be able to rally for their men in black and gold.

The Beginning

Anybody who has listened to sports radio at any time in their life has heard this scenario. Radio host makes an absurd point that nobody, and I mean nobody, in the world of sports agrees with. People hear this ridiculous point over their car radio and think to themselves, what in the name of...is this guy thinking! “I’m going to call in with my perfectly legitimate point that makes him look like an idiot.” The caller dials the radio show, the host answers, asks you what you think about his point, and you being your story about how “well sir, your point is so wrong in so many way all because of *CLICK*. Silence...pure, dark, silence...”Well listeners, that man has no idea what he is talking about because my point is perfect!”
You should be saying to yourself now, oh hell yea I have heard that happen so many times on sports talk radio. That is because sports fans are very opinionated people. Everybody thinks they can manage a team better than the current coach, and some of us probably can. But that ignorant radio man thinks because he has his own show and your just some ordinary “sports fan” that his point is better than yours. Well now, that is my original motivation for creating this site. I want the fans to be able to voice their opinion, and debate freely with as much time as they want all because I really do believe there are people out there that could coach better than some of the coaches and manage better than some of the managers.
Show your stuff, submit articles, they don’t have to be professionally done articles, just the ordinary fans point of view, because well who knows, maybe your point really is top quality. Visit the message boards, because that iss where most of the action is meant to go down. Enjoy the site fans, and please if you have any comments, contact us!
